Hello,
My father owns a C4GT 2015 1.6 hdi, 77k miles
Sadly a few days ago he was driving up an incline a suddenly lost power.
Now the car is stuck on limp home mode (cant go more than 10mph and inclines are a no-go)
There is no engine management light or fault codes stored.
We have looked at the pipes going into the dpf and stuck a pressure gauge into and both allowed air to push through which I guess means there is no blockage.
We put pressure through exhaust sensor that connects the dpf pipes together, and this was holding pressure. Is that normal ?
He keeps the car well maintained and is a taxi driver so regularly on the road. Is it possible for the dpf to be blocked ? We did take it to the garage and the did a regen to no avail.
Upon a cold start the car revs hesitantly, it's jumpy untill past 2k rpm then it's gets smooth.
After it's been warmed up the revs are smooth.
We have driven it on the road as we don't want to run the risk of getting stuck
Anyone have any ideas?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Hi, and
to the Forum. What reader did you use to look for the fault codes? Most generic code readers cannot read those on a PSA vehicle, so a Lexia/DiagBox clone is highly recommended for this.

Thanks Hell Razor,
Just using an elm 327 odb2 with torque LOL
We have just ordered a Lexia cable with diagbox, hopefully will come this week and we can further troubleshoot
Thanks for your help

FYI, I have cleared the Enginine Management ECU faults, that included the Alternator and Exhause Codes and they have no returned.
I did see UREA ECU communication error, i run a DENOX test and it came back with an issue with communicating with the NOX sensor, could that be the issue ?

Ok so i went to do a look at the parameters for the diesel additive pump and as soon as it read them, it came up with an error
U0118 - Mulitplexed additive pump - distant - permanent - Can fault or additive pump fault
P1435 - Mulitplexed additive pump - distant - permanent - Can fault or additive pump fault
any thoughts on this, help always appreciated

Has he filled it up with petrol? Someone on here had long running troubles with something, which in the end turned out to be a fuelling error! None of the faults it was showing would stop it running.

Re: C4 Grand Tourer 2015 limp mode no engine light
So the issue got worse and the car would not run, it was the eventually the battery. This was replaced and we are back to square one ..
There are no ECU codes
We have Lexia and ran a regen, it failed after 20m.
Here is the rev stutter

Re: C4 Grand Tourer 2015 limp mode no engine light
Further update, we removed the vacuum line going into the waste gate actuator, and the engine returned to normal. no struggle between 1000-1500 rpm. Its drivable (Albeit just up and down a few metres on the drive)
When connecting the vacuum line, the engine struggles again, and cuts out when try to drive.
we now getting intermittent turbo errors
P1496
P1497
P2562
P2563
The actuator arm seemed stuck, we have freed it, however that hasn't much made difference.
Any thoughts
