Hi All
I’ve got an ongoing issue that looks like its related to the Glow plug relay not getting power, all i get is a constant coil light when the outside temp is below 10c and being a push to start button it won’t allow the engine to turn over, hot wiring the starter makes it run straightaway and once the engine is warm it has no issues and starts on the button with no coil light.
I presume power is coming from the BMS to the glow plug relay, as I can't find no fuse in the engine box relating to it; however, I can find no fuse diagram for the BMS so can't be sure!
Does anyone know if i am correct in the above and if so does anyone knows what fuse on the BMS goes to the glow plug relay?
Or does anyone have a wiring diagram for this car that includes the glow plug relay, so as i can trace its power
Hoping someone can help
Thanks
Stef

The HDi engines rarely use the glow plugs. They are used mostly for cold starts and to assist with regeneration when required.
Running a diagnostic should be your first action to determine the fault code, as it can be the glow plugs themselves that need replacing or the glow plug relay.
