Hello!
I’ve been searching around all over the internet regarding this issue that started for me around two days ago. I couldn’t find something similar.
Model
5008 2010, 1.6HDI FAP
170.000kms / 105.000 miles
issue
When I start the car it starts and run normally, if I then turn off the engine and start it again, the engine won’t crank, I can only see the dashboard light up and I hear the engine fan blowing but nothing happens..
if I then either turn the key back again (turn off ignition) and turn it on again or I take out the key and put it back in then it starts perfectly normal. This repeats itself so I start it normally then the next time it won’t start, basically every other start it won’t crank.
This is driving me crazy, anyone can guide me and tell me how and what to diagnose would be much appreciated. My economy is bad right now and unfortunately I can’t hand it in to a shop.
regards

Welcome
There's a 20A starter fuse in the underbonnet fuse box, you could check here to see that the starter is getting power when the key is turned. Most likely the starter needs to be rebuilt or replaced - this seems to be the failure mode on these. Getting it in / out is a real pig of a job....
