2.0 HDi engine stalling when coming to a stop also when just idling.

Unread post by KOG-ArdMhacha »

Hi Folks

I have a 407SW 2.0HDI sport 2010 Car starts on the button every time, no issues, however it has an intermittent fault. Once started it can drop from its idle revs and stall, it can do this hot or cold, sitting on the driveway or coming up to a set of traffic lights. It so far has always started again with the key on the button, first turn, now while this doesn't happen all the time but usually when it does it can go on for quite a while, the car will remain running so long as the rev's are kept up above 1,000 rpm. It can also jolt a little when accelerating, only for a split second and will then pick up ok, there are no warning lights displayed on the dash or faults reported via the information screen. Car has currently done 150,000 miles and to my knowledge has been regularly serviced, I did have to top up the PAT fluid last year and get the system reset by a local mechanic, but there were no issues with this problem then,

I haven't replaced anything yet, hunch is telling me it could be a sensor of some kind, but really not sure, does anyone have any ideas please, thanks for reading
