BSM replacement

Unread post by dme88 »

Hi,

So I had this buzzing sound coming from the BSM. I replaced it, but now the 2nd button on the remote doesn't work (light on / off)

I have a C5 2011.
There seem to be no configuration options for the BSM, only the BSI.

Where did you get the replacement BSM from? Did the part numbers on it exactly match the old one?

The engine Fuse Box on the C5 X7 is non-configurable.

Is the key fob functions configured via the steering wheel rotary controls, seem to remember i could select which doors would unlock on it, Drivers only or all doors ?
Maybe a setting has been changed without realising it ?
*** Edit*** 99.9% sure you can turn it on or off in the comfort settings, think it comes under Guide me home ? ***

I agree with Colin - if you are referring to the Guide me Home function that activates the headlamps from the fob, then check that the configuration for this feature is active via the steering wheel menu. It is detailed in the owner's handbook under the lighting menu.

If it is activated, then I would go back to what Paul mentioned above regarding an identical fusebox part number, as although they are not configurable, they are specific to certain models and must be identical.
