2007 207 cc 1600cc window problem

The electric windows in most cars these days have a system that was made for child safety. By this I mean that if a child put it arm out of the window and the driver unknowingly raises the window once the resistance is detected by the electronics the motor stops.

Marc (AKA givemeabreak)Who is very helpful on the forum gave me some advice on the resetting of the windows travel. Unfortunately it didn't change anything. I have replaced the module that controls the window motor movements with a genuine Peugeot replacement part. The window will go down perfectly. On the way up the window stops every 2 inches. If I release the button to raise the window and try again it travels another 2 inches and stops again. Also the window action of dropping an half inch when the door is opened or raising a half inch when the door is closed does not happen.

Does anyone know if there is a censor that stops the window if a arm/hand is trapped. If so could it be faulty due to the resistance being faulty and where is the censor (if there is one) sited. Has anyone had this problem and if so could you give me some pointers on a fix. A pre thanks to anyone that can help.

Got it sorted. It was a faulty window control module. The window is now dropping when the door is opening and raising into the rubber door seal when the door is closed. To access the module you have to remove the door card and carefully remove the poly styrene noise and weather protector after releasing the wiring going to the window operation switches. The door card is held on by 3 torx screws and 7 plastic poppers. The control module is clearly visible. Remove the wiring connector and carefully remove the module after releasing the 2 plastic clips grabs and you may have to burr of the steel support / guide pin with a drimmle. The module is pulled back from the window motor two rads the rear of the car. To reinstall the module is simply the reverse of the previous instructions. I used a small blob of hot glue in the tip of the steel support pin to help secure the module from moving although this is doubtful as the 2 plastic retaining clips that are part of the body of the module are quite strong enough to hold it in place. Hope this helps someone with the same fault.
