C5 x7 2008 estate - dropped suspension.

Unread post by davoxx »

Was driving the car today stopped to left someone out and saw the sports mode button was on, didn't remember turning it on, so I turned it off.
When I went to drive off, the car had dropped to it lowest setting and would not rise.

After waiting 2-3 mins for it to rise, I got the error suspension faulty v-max 90km/h.
I haven't been able to get my lexia to work and my obd read reads no errors.

Started the car up, no errors, but it is not rising. The pump is making sounds. The dash says 'Closing in progress' for any height selected.

I have a leak in steering rack like everyone else but there is fluid in the reservoir.

Any quick things to check?
why?

Update:

Drove the car up incremental pieces of wood so I could get a jack underneath it.
Jacked up one side, then I lowered it to reposition the jack, but the car stayed up!
the car then raised to normal.

I can't get it to go higher, as it just keeps saying 'Closing ... ' and the pump runs.
I can get it to drop to lowest I think, I kinda let it start to drop before setting it back to normal.

So it's at normal now.

Does that sound like a stuck valve?
why?

Perhaps one of the height correctors misbehaving?

Citroebics seems to ward off a lot of these problems.

I should have mentioned the car was not being driven for 3 months, but I did Citroebics about 2 weeks ago lowest to highest and back to normal.

I'll do them again with the car on ramps, so if it fails to rise, at least I can jack it up and get it to rise.
