405 STDT flashing outside temp display?

Post by Jim »

I have just acquired the above. The outside temp display (next to the clock) just permanently flashes '--C' anyone any idea how to cure this problem?
Thanks
Jim

The temp sender is usually in the drivers door mirror on UK cars. Most likely that is either faulty or a bad connection.

Thanks mate
I'll have a look and let you know. I could have looked for a year and never found it there.[:)]

Hi
The temp sensor isnt in the drivers mirror, its in the passenger mirror, You will see a small black button under the mirror sticking out a bit, that is the sensor.

Thank you, now rectified the problem. I found the sensor in the N/S wing mirror.
Thanks for all the advise
