Hi everyone. This is the first C4 grand Picasso I have owned and would appreciate anyone else's contributions as to how their gear change is with their Picasso.
My gear lever seems to be very "metallic" in use and not smooth. You have to be so slow and careful to avoid it clunking when changing gears, and 1st to 2nd is awful especially when cold.
It does improve slightly when warmed up but there's always a weird "clunky" feel to the gear shift. Very hard to describe but it doesn't feel right.
Is anyone's else's like this? Is this just normal for this car?
Thanks for reading.
Simon.

Re: C4 Grand Picasso manual gear change
I particularly don't like the transition from neutral to reverse and back and from neutral to 1st. I always feel I have to use extra force to correctly put it in reverse. I did miss, well not miss, but didn't completely put it in the 1st gear several times (especially during winter times), but I attribute that to myself, not pushing the lever hard enough. But, it definitely isn't smooth and I can "feel" the metal when shifting.
