Exhaust job that ended up with a nice spilt.

Peugeot 206cc 1.6hdi.

Today was the day to sort out the noise the exhaust made when starting the car. So up on the ramps i then get under the car moving around like a drunk walrus , no not barry white either.
Shock .. center bracket had rusted off from the center exhaust and very kindly forged a split in the pipe. That is now unbolted and removed from the car , its scrap metal now.
So off it all came. back box too, out came the small arc welder 20 mins stick welding up the spilt . Refitted the pipe and back box then another problem the clamps are no longer of use . I did manage to go a local tyre and exhaust place they put the car up on the ramps , yes i drove there with one front clamp fully done up but no exhaust paste, & the rear one held on with rubbish locking nuts just to get me there, on the ramp it took 3 to take off the old clamp ? and refit a new clamp with exhaust paste, i watched as the 2 young lads laughed at the pipe work under the car , laughing like its the first time they has seen a woman's yes. 20 mins later the giggling lad came to the waiting room and declared job done, with a straight hard stare on my face i said how much and he replied nothing mate its on us ,then went on to say the whole system is wrong , with that i said, yeah i know its an aftermarket back box with new front build dpf the mid section needed stick weld filling on a spilt which the mid section bracket had so wonderfully cut into with the vibration diesels have, and closeness of center pipe to this bracket , which in turn ended up with me doing more than i should of done , oh he said thats why there's a big jubilee clip holding center pipe to where the bracket once was , yes i said , bloody brilliant engineering isn't it ,with that i walked back to the car drove off home with the engine light on, thanks to the worn out front clamp and a joint with no exhaust paste , once home i plugged the scanner on and its moaning ,leak near cat , blah blah blah. Thanks to marc for getting the part number for the clamp , I've now ordered 2 so ill have 1 spare, and will be back under the 206cc when they and the paste arrive to take the one off from the front and fit a brand new clamp which i will apply exhaust past into the clamp groove and clamp up the front joint.

P0473 , id left the pressure sensor to the DPF unplugged now plugged in code deleted fired up the car a couple of times no mil light.

P0432 has gone this nag was before the cat so must of been to do with the pressure senor being unplugged. Still will investigate the front joint from bottom of dpf/cat to middle pipe as I've paste and new clamp on order , so that should make for a good seal.

I unplugged all sensors yesterday as i was going to weld the bracket back to the exhaust while on the car but all this changed read first post to see why.
