Hello,
My 508, 1.6 THP, 156 BHP has passed the 200K (KM) mark (124K miles). The manufacturer's original recommended oil service interval schedule is 20K (KM). I shortened the intervals to 15K (since 160K) - should I reduce it to 10K now ... ? the car is running about 70-80KM/day 50/50 (engine running time) city driving/outer city driving. The Timing system was replaced (original parts) at about 170K (I initiated it as a safety precaution in this engine..)
THANKS

Re: service intervals - high millage engine
Hello,
That's not high mileage. I'd just stick to the manufacturer's recommendations. You won't do it any harm reducing the intervals, but it's not necessary. Once you get over 320k, I'd consider that high mileage..

I don't think these engines will survive that much
