My missus is in the UK & has just told me the rh mirror of her 2014 C4 berline has been damaged with a clash of mirrors with another car which didn't stop.
Apparently it's lost the case but all functions still work.
I can get a case online here in France for painting & fitting when she returns but not seeing the car I've no idea how hard/easy it'll be to fit a new case.
I'm trying to sort this out at distance & her description is typically vague so any advice would be appreciated. Do these things clip on/off or is there more involved?
Vic

Re: Damaged wing mirror
If it is the top rear shell, then these just clip on:
However, if it is the mirror frame itself (the housing that contains the mirror glass), then that is part of the complete mirror and can't be purchased separately. Obviously, without seeing the damage we can't advise you further.

Re: Damaged wing mirror
Thanks Marc
From what she's told me it sounds like it's just the shell.
She's going to send me a photo when she's finished playing grandma so I'll know more then.
I'm trying to pre-empt any problems & organise things for when she returns.
A few years ago she did the same thing, in the dark, in the same narrow lane with the Pug 806 despite there being an alternative main road route with no risk.
Some folk never learn
Edit
Just received photos.
It's just the shell with a very small crack in the lower part of the mirror body which I'm sure I can repair. She's found the original in the ditch at the crime scene. Unfortunately it's got a bit missing so new'un required.
It looks like the shell drops onto the upper part of the body & then clips down onto two clips on the bottom. If this is the case no problems envisaged.
Brownie point for me when she returns?

Re: Damaged wing mirror
She might be able to buy a used one already in the right colour on Ebay here in the UK.

Cheers, I'll have a look but time might be against us as she's only there for another 5 days.Gibbo2286 wrote: 16 Oct 2022, 12:58 She might be able to buy a used one already in the right colour on Ebay here in the UK.

Note that if buying a complete mirror assembly, they may differ depending on which side of the car the steering wheel sits.
