Nemo possible dpf issues

Unread post by ohspecial1 »

hi

Wonder if you can help

was informed when taking off nemo was smoking for quite a while

had oil change filter and diesel filter changed

im guessing a possible dpf issue

its 2010 and 27k on the clock

doesnt drive much or many miles only had it a few months

and seems to be a money pit

fell off my chair when the garage charged £72 to change the oil and filter when i supplied all the bits

have ordered top mounts but going to fit them myself as thats crazy money

can i send this into regen with a secret like revs or something
where i live doesnt really have long roads at all and no motorways

If you have a motorway or long road you can maintain a high revs of at least 3000 in whatever gear then do it for
20 minutes or 20 miles. I suggest you do it at night as a lot of smoke will be ejected!
Otherwise you need a cat cleaner.
Why do you have a diesel vehicle with such low mileage?

These are basically FIATs, and some of them use FIAT engines, so best to supply your VIN so I can tell what you have (please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff).
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.
