Crusoe Control / Speed limiter Retrofit Fault

Unread post by Turbodump »

Hi All,

I have retrofitted Creuse control and Speed limiter to my 2010 Peugot Partner.

I have upgraded the throttle pedal for the LVVD version (false stop version)

I have been using cruise control fine for the past few weeks and it works great but can't seem to get the limit function to work.

When I turn the switch on the stalk to limit it comes up on the dash, Briefly shows 18mph then shows "- -".
When I go to set it it with either the + or - on the stalk or even turn it on with the button on the end of the stalk it flashes " - - " 7 times then shoes the dashes again.

I have tried this at different speeds, gears and even checked the cruise control to make sure it still works.

I have both the 4 wire Break pedal switch and 2 wore clutch switch.

I have have performed a BSI reset (disconnected battery and followed procedure.)

I have enabled the setting in BSI and ECU as per instruction found on this forum and many other videos and forums.

Has anyone got an ideas as to what might be the cause or how to fix this as I find the limit function more useful as o don't do much motorway driving.

Cheers
Toby

Some of these don' allow speed limitation - only cruise, - that being the case you won't get it to work if your engine ECU doesn't support it.

When I set it up in the ECU and BSI It gave me the option so if it doesn't support it why would it give me the choice.

I have watched this video

And he has got it to work. My van Is the same base model as his and it's working.

For the simple reason that some BSIs are shared across the marques and the models depending on engine and options and electronic architecture fitted.

If the engine ECU on your vehicle does not support a limiter it won't work, regardless if it is listed in the BSI or not...

I'm not saying this is the definite reason for your issue, but it is one of them. Secondly, if you have the incorrect cruise stalk, that can be another reason. Further you may have to configure it in more than one location - again if supported.

Second-hand stalk from a breaker, or a new one from Aliexpress or similar?
