Long story, but does the yellow marked area in this picture look like one of the magnets that should be on the end of a C5 2.2 (with FAP) diesel’s fuel filler cap?
I’m trying to work out why my sister’s car is not ever telling her the cap is removed and has now warned that it wants the diesel filter cleaned (which will be the particulate filter… again). The usual problem is that I am thousands of mile away again when it breaks!
C5 2.2 (2001) fuel cap magnets— present or not in this picture?

Great, thanks for the confirmation. I’ll get her to check both sides of the cap. I think the sensor doesn’t work so have asked for the part number in the appropriate thread. Probably NFP but you never know!

There is only one pickup sensor for the magnet but as the cap can normally be fitted in 2 different positions 180 degrees opposite each other there is a magnet on both sides of the cap.
