Citroen c5 radio Not working

Unread post by FoF244 »

Hello, I have a citroen c5 2002 2.0 16v and today the radio stopped working, sometimes the radio channel appears on the middle screen but then it disappears, I checked the fuses, I removed the radio And I checked the preparations, everything seems to be good, But it still doesn't work, any advice if possible?

First thought is the aerial which is notorious for water ingress via the roof mounting that gradually trickles down and corrodes the internals and can affect signal.

The it looks like the system itself or the electrical connections.

Yes, Bin the OEM radio & get a far superior aftermarket unit with way more functionality.

The radio is 20 years old? I don't know if that's worth troubleshooting further than the simple things like fuses. I agree with wheeler - just replace the radio with a similar model from a scrapyard (which you might need to pair with the car using Lexia) or get something modern.
