Mobile Mechanic reccomendation, Bedfordshire

Unread post by Monkeyfeet »

Hi, to expand on the posting title:
This morning SWMBO drove the C5 off the drive onto the road, where it stopped and refused to re-start. It'll spin up fine, by the sound.
Only problem is I'm away for two weeks...
I got as far as her confirming that she could hear the lift pump running. Probably.
So, I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for someone - between Bedford and Luton area?
Reading the fault codes would be a good start, obviously, but I'm really after someone who could delve a bit further, hence looking for a mobile mechanic to visit.
It's a 2002 2.2Hdi which has always been pretty reliable. No recent work on the engine / electrics, just a ball joint replacement the other week.
Many thanks!

Hi Chris,
That would be brilliant!
I'd been having trouble with mine after a laptop change, so to get the codes read would be very useful.
I'll arrange a battery charger on it. Plus coffee of course!
I'll call home...
