I may be getting a Peugeot 106 for my sister but she's just reminded me that she needs ISOFIX. I think it was an option on this car. Registration is R965 JPA. Could one of the admins please check if the specifications for this car show if it has indeed got the ISOFIX and if not, if the optional kit is still available from Peugeot?
From my own internet searching I think it would need 7251 K1 (qty. 2), 7251 K2 (qty. 1), 7251 K3 (qty. 1) but I'm not 100% sure if I am right or of the price and availability. OF course, getting from a breaker would also be an option.
Many TIA!

Re: Peugeot 106 ISOFIX
I had a '98 106 and can tell you it didn't come with ISOFIX.
ISOFIX didn't even become a standard until the end of 1999: https://www.iso.org/standard/30437.html
This handbook for a later model 106 says the fittings could be installed by the dealer.
If you stick up the VIN, Marc should be able to advise

Personally I dunno if I'd trust safety restraints from a scrapyardOF course, getting from a breaker would also be an option.

Re: Peugeot 106 ISOFIX
Thanks very much. Looks like she’d need to use the seatbelt AND the ISOFIX, even if I could find the brackets to retrofit. Might be a bit of a non-starter then. Otherwise, looks like a lovely frugal little thing!

Re: Peugeot 106 ISOFIX
Cheers for checking Wheeler! I think I had better look elsewhere and get her a slightly newer car. Maybe a 107, C1 or Aygo sort of thing. She’s tootling round in the wonderful 2.2 C5 but is becoming a student soon so needs something a bit more frugal!

Re: Peugeot 106 ISOFIX
Not sure exactly what seat or base you are trying to install but we had a maxi cosi ISOfix base that could also be installed with a 3 point seat belt if the car never had ISOfix. You just leave the base strapped in then you can clip the seat in & out the base without disturbing the seatbelt. The reason im saying this is I had this base for about 8 months before I realised you could do this.

Re: Peugeot 106 ISOFIX
Yep, we have a Maxi Cosi in our cars and they work really well with ISOFIX in the C6 and Mini and seat belts in the Volvo 480.
However, this potential 106 would have been for my sister and she is insisting upon keeping her ISOFIX seat that spins 90 degrees to make lifting a (now heavy) 3 year old in easier.
My back has got it easy with a 4 month old!
