citroen ds4 2.0 blue hdi dsport clutch pedal to the floor

Driving home from work no noises grinding nothing changed gear and the clutch pedal hit the floor and stopped there. Had a look at the brake fluid level all seemed ok the level had not dropped. Managed to get home cranking over in first gear bit of a pain but heyho. The car has only done 41000 miles.
Tried bleeding the clutch through but did not make any difference, one thing that was noticed was the fluid was being pushed back into the brake reservoir when pushed to the floor with no operation at all.
Ordered a new clutch master cylinder from citroen on back order for £115, they are only available from citroen for the 2L model, this came today which took about 5 days this has been fitted and now the clutch is back working ok, I am pleased the gearbox did not have to come off seems like a bit of work #-o
