broken rockers
the wife's 2.1 xm made a "funny noise" and ground to a halt.it refused to start and when i removed the camshaft cover i found 3 broken rockers.it's an automatic so i can rule out over reving as she was in a country lane.the cam belt was done by the local garage about 20000 miles ago.when i strip it down to get to the cambelt does anyone have any idea what i am going to be looking for and what caused the problem?also can i get new rockers from andyspares?
If you had the garage do the cambelt approx 20Kmiles ago, I'd say you have a warranty problem.
GSF sells wearparts, not likely they'd supply rockers, which would be a slow turn-over item.
Anyway - as it's pretty sure the cambelt, you'll defo need a lot more to do than just the rockers [:(]
You're a lot better off with a recon head (ouch) [B)]
- which may be supplied by GSF [8)]
