Vacuum solenoid location and missing vacuum pipe??

Hi everyone,
Whilst trying unsuccessfully to locate the vacuum solenoid on my C5 X7(help), I noticed what I think is a missing vacuum pipe. Having fished around the back of the engine I couldn't find anything to connect to it. So I'm wondering if this could be the cause of the fault codes kindly deciphered in my previous post. I've attached a couple of photos.

There 3 or 4 solenoids at the back of the engine depending age of your C5. All have vacuum pipes attached to them. With a pipe running to the vacuum pump situated next to the HP fuel pump.
Any holes etc in these pipes will affect the vehicle.
Some of these hoses are a PITA to get to and replace.

Looking at the 3 pictures halfway down the post. The 3rd picture shows what looks like a blanking cap on the pipes to the far right?

I can't see any blanking of the pipes.... (40, (5) & (6) are the electrovalves, but I can't see any blanking parts.

Found it trawling through ebay looking at engines for sale!

Possibly for sitcking the vacumm guage?

What year and engine type is your C5 ?

It maybe relevant. From the photo that looks like a electrical connection possibly for the solenoid for EGR valve. I'm only guessing as the plastic pipe to the left, is that going to the Turbo.

It's definitely a tee piece that's part of the vacuum circuit not an electrical connection.

Okay, There is a vacuum pipe which has a 'T' piece which runs from vacuum pump to solenoid back to EGR valve. I have this one in the shed.

Can you confirm your engine and year of manufacture.

Hi Kenny,
I have the pipe with the tee piece but didn't know what was connected to it. I assumed there was a missing vacuum pipe connected to the 3rd outlet of the tee but it looks like it is a blanking plug not a 3rd pipe. I've stuck a bit of tape over the end whilst a work today and the car did seem better driving home.

yes It is blanking plug, the slightest hole will cause problems.

I just need to sort the vibration now but that's another story. The thing is I very been hooked on citroen since my first Xantia and they were a lot easier to work on.
