Clio 3 Air intake resonator Box

Hi Folks

I'm a newbie from South Africa so hello to everyone.

I recently purchased a Clio 3 1.6L petrol 2007 model and I realized that the resonator box was missing. The previous owner had driven it like that since he owned it. Is it necessary for me to source a box not knowing what the purpose of it is as the car runs fine at the moment. There are two inlets on top of the air intake duct and one underneath. When I searched for the resonator box I noticed that it fits into the two top inlets but what is suppose to fit on the bottom inlet.

Is it advisable for me to simply close the three inlets and not purchase the resonator box as they are quite expensive in South Africa. Will running without one cause any damage to the engine as I understand its designed to quieten the engine but also create sone sort of air flow harmonic to increase power at low revs.

Lastly what fits on the inlet underneath and what purpose does it serve.

I'm battling to source the resonator boxes for the Clio 3 16l as per the diagram here in South Africa and the Renault dealerships are closing down some of their operation due to economic reasons which in itself is sad.

There are two I require, one is the box that fits on top of the battery and into the two inlets on the air hose duct and the other is the box that fits underneath in the engine bay and has a hose that fits into the inlet of the air hose duct.

If anyone can help please message me and I'll provide pics for further reference.

Quick look at Ebay revealed this, may not be the spec or part you require, but maybe worth contacting the seller with a specific request with a specific part number, see it they can help.
