Brake pads

What is the general concensus of opinion on the best brake pads for Xantias. I don't know what make I have fitted at the moment as the came with the car, but they feel like they are made of wood. I've looked at EBC who do green and black types but there seems to be a conflict of opinion as to whether they do ones to fit the V6. When cross referencing, some manufacturers list them as being the same as the 2.1HDi and others list them as different. I suppose I will have to take them out and see if I can find a part number.

Xantia V6 pads are shared with the HDi 110BHP (careful, not the HDi 90BHP, that uses smaller pads). The Citroen OE number is 425145 and the WVA number ( a sort of standard number that all brake pad manufacturers share) is 23135
