Reached the bottom of my lane , warning on screen light on dash , ive been waiting for this , my outlet manifold is blowing which i think has caused said fault codes , were leaking gas were gulping air... Any pointers if i maybe wrong,
Egr is new original part. Ive soot upside the turbo which leads to outlet manifold and this is the route its taking.

Im smoking when i pull away ive that grunt blowing sound the smoke is dirty ,it clears fast. Im thinking oil is passing through the turbo so it looks like i might have to have an oil catch can before the turbo. Im not losing much power the turbo kicks in nice when needed.

Works when the car is immobilised, kids in the area love watching it slowly sweep side to side.

Re: Dash board notification messages.
Started the tinkering today , top & bottom nuts on the front manifold one was finger tight the bottom was half way out a lable on the new dpf had nicely burnt off covered everything with ash , ive oil here there and everywhere to sort out photos tell what sort of a morning ive had. Having a break now a cup of tea & let the shower pass then back out to clean up and put everything back in. So much to move to get to work on this car its unreal.

Re: Dash board notification messages.
As a fellow 1.6 HDi in a 206 tinkerer, I can confirm, yes everything is crammed in. Notably highlights include a bolt between gearbox and engine block that needs the DPF removing to allow access. Air filter is a pain to get at (though it's worse with the 1.6 HDi in a Citroen C4 though - tucked even more under the windscreen!)
Unless you have already removed them, you've a couple of heat shields missing - one above and another below the exhaust manifold. Actually that's another "how the heck is this supposed to come out? That big heat shield running down the front of the DPF is such a pain to get out too!
It's a lovely engine in a nice little, light 206 - good fun
