I would investigate using a wet vacuum cleaner. Far easier than taking the carpets out. I used one last year to remove (nearly) all traces of several litres of spilt Adblue in the 308.

You'll need one with a hose and attachments. A stand-up type (unless it comes with hose, etc) won't be suitable.

EDIT

This is what I used https://support.vax.co.uk/pet-vax-multi ... m-cleaners

You need to make sure it comes with the the reservoir though. https://support.vax.co.uk/universal-res ... __store=22

I bought a Titan wet/dry vac ftom Screwfix a few years ago and found it very useful.
Aldi and Lidl have similar looking ones for a bit less.

Warning!

I have found a lot of jobs for it since. They make work

I bought a cheap XM estate that smelt like that, couldn't get rid of it until I cut down a eucalyptus tree and loaded it into the car, it stayed there for about a week, when I eventually unloaded it the smell had all but gone. I wouldn't suggest you did the same but wonder if eucalyptus oil might have a similar effect?

What ever happened to shake and vac should work well. But I do agree, a good wet vacuum cleaner will do the job, if you don't know anyone whose got 1, you can hire them from supermarkets and do the house as well. Should dry well quick in this heat.

I have found that a good citrus disinfectant seems to shift most nasty smells. If I have got diesel on my hands a lemon/orange handwash shifts it nicely.

The foam is a fabric cleaning foam from Poundland (and I have found it does a good job of cleaning), and I have also recommended a silicon lubricant spray (such as that from Screwfix Direct) to then lubricate the belt.

Pet stores usually sell a spray that break down pet urine enzymes, which I find works very well.

can also use an Ozone Generator, it kills organic smells and is good for that, cars that have been smoked in, and if milk has been spilled and gone off in it.
no egr, no dpf, no problems.

I'm using this thread to keep a history of my recently acquired 307sw, its to keep it all in one place.

My first service was today 20.8.22
101395 miles
All filters
New oil
Resetting the service counter ... 6400 miles ? To the next service Surely not as soon as that... any one ?

I cleverly released a large quantity of milk onto the rear seat last weekend.
Que the garden spray followed by the wet vac, repeated several times.
A slight miasma a couple of days ago so can't have got all of it, but tolerable and diminishing.

Luckily son has the car this week.
