Hello, Im new to the forum so please forgive if I break any etiquette
I have a Grand C4 Picasso, Petrol 1.2l PureTech Auto, 2017. Which, as I understand it, is a reasonable rare combination of engine/gearbox/car. However I hope that as the forum covers Peugeot cars to which also have PureTech engines this will help input.
Recently the engine seems to be running a bit rich, with a slight fuel smell from the exhaust sometimes. This started happening around the time of an idle issue which persisted over a couple of days (but not every journey), where the idle rpm would drop, eventually to low and the engine would require a restart. The low idle has not happened in a while now but the fuel smell persists.
I understand that a rich running engine could be a number of things, from fuel pressure regulator/injectors, spark plugs, inlet air filter etc etc but I wanted to get peoples input on if this is a common issue with the engine? or in general is there a particular area i should check first to rectify it?
I should also note that i will be creating another thread regarding a new battery, as we are getting regular 'Energy Economy mode active' alerts.
Thanks in advance

Husky.
Thinking outside of the box is better than sitting in a dark one.
