Post by DaveJ »

Hi Folks. I have a 2013 308CC and the navigation has just stopped working complaining that I need to Insert Navigation CD. I dont have a CD, is it hidden somewhere, or does it use a SD card (again hidden somewhere) Many thanks

First you need to tell us which telematics system you have. They are all different. If you don't know, pop your VIN up (automasked on post submission) and I'll be able to assist further.

Ok, so you have the RT6 system or WIPNAV+ referred to on Peugeot vehicles.

Your maps can be updated via USB stick. Depending on when you last updated your maps if you have updated them, you should have the software on USB or CD.

The map data gets transferred during the update to an internal flash memory card internal tot he unit. Over the years, the MicroSD card will start to wear as the NAND memory cells start to fail (as they can only be written to so many times). When the card starts to fail, then you will start to get anomalies in the system that can start causing boot up problems or crashing.

If you have your last map update available, go ahead and insert the update on USB and see if that restores the corrupt or damaged files. If not, then you may want to consider replacing the internal Flash card as detailed in my guide here:
