I have a suspicion this bodge fix by a former keeper of the car might be giving the 307 some running , bit long to turn over a bit lumpy for few seconds when started and I've had the anti pollutant fault up on dash it was a hot day so i think this fix may of loosen & let more air into the system my exhaust is new so can't be drawing air from any rusty holes. I'd love to take this tape off this area its taped to but would rather source a replacement pipe first pop it on a a complete piece then look at the old part before i throw it into the bin of no return .

@Marc@... part number for this part ,pipe , is this something that does more than one thing , brake vacuum , egr ? Could i pull this pipe off at the solenoid then bung the pipe up with a bolt ?
I've not really had time to check everything on the 307 properly but will do over the next few days or so, it drives good has good service history so thought car must be ok not to mention its only just passed 100000 miles last week.
I've ordered a fuel service kit thanks to Marc's help , which when it arrives it will have a full service, engine flush , all the filters & new oil .
