vacuum pump to vacuum control unit pipe 307 sw 2.0hdi

Post by Huskyxantia »

Sorry about photo quality it was in very bright sunlight.
I have a suspicion this bodge fix by a former keeper of the car might be giving the 307 some running , bit long to turn over a bit lumpy for few seconds when started and I've had the anti pollutant fault up on dash it was a hot day so i think this fix may of loosen & let more air into the system my exhaust is new so can't be drawing air from any rusty holes. I'd love to take this tape off this area its taped to but would rather source a replacement pipe first pop it on a a complete piece then look at the old part before i throw it into the bin of no return . :rofl2:

@Marc@... part number for this part ,pipe , is this something that does more than one thing , brake vacuum , egr ? Could i pull this pipe off at the solenoid then bung the pipe up with a bolt ?

I've not really had time to check everything on the 307 properly but will do over the next few days or so, it drives good has good service history so thought car must be ok not to mention its only just passed 100000 miles last week.
I've ordered a fuel service kit thanks to Marc's help , which when it arrives it will have a full service, engine flush , all the filters & new oil .

I can't really see where that is properly in the photo. It needs to be a bit clearer and also another picture taken from further out so we can see where that is taken in relation to other components.

I'm not sure if it is the vacuum hose shown at (6) or not at this stage....

...and here's the brake vacuum pump

It it's item (6) in the first diagram, then it's part: 4572W8 and is £35.06

Hope these help, my one comes off the vacuum control unit down to a solenoid at the top near the vacuum control unit it tees off to the brake servo , photo with my finger pointing down is where the solenoid is.

If anyone has blanked the egr this way may well have put there lives at risk as by what i see its linked to the brake servo !

Top photo the pipe comes off the side of the main pipe then fits into the brake vacuume servo unit. Big round black thing , not an oreo biscuit either Mr Rp0thejester

Found on ebay ,
I screen shot this pic, circled in red this part on my car is covered in that tape as shown by my photos. Without me removing this tape i think mines either snapped or split & the tape is holding it together .

Maybe i could make up my own pipe with the correct connections ?

So that was the correct hose then, 4572W8. Not sure what all that other gubbins is. looks like a right bodge though....

At least you know you can get a new one from Peugeot as there aren't that many about second hand that I can see.

I think the tape is covering a split or crack on the Junction of that pipe location, thanks for your help marc , ill see whats what with the main place might end up making one myself if all else fails . But, yes pipe number 6 in the diagram looks to be the one , at least i can cross reference it when needs be.
