Pug 405 Heated seats

Hi
Ive got a 1995 Pug 405 with heated seats, the problem is the heating elements keep burning out before the thermister switches them off.
Does anybody know where I can get a new base heater pad for the drivers seat ( Not from a Peugeot/Citroen dealer! ) & how to stop them burning themselves out?
The battery + alternator are ok & not over charging + the switches are just normal latch on/latch off types.
The thermister is ment to control the temp but the heater element burns out before the thermister turns it off.

have you tryed neats automotive in west drayton,they do mail order on net,they also order in for your special req,well cheap,
