Hi there.
Hopefully some1 can help me out.
My J5 has been sleeping for 15 years.
Motor was stuck..
Pump was stuck..
Gearbox stuck.
After a few datys working on the engine i got the engine running again.
Old engine is good..but had 2 replace the pump.
Lucas CAV DPC injection pump.
But i also changed the timing belts.
Timing of the crankshaft is good..
But i dont think the timing off the pump is correct.
I have lots off manuals of this car...but thetes lack off info about the timing off the pump.
Cant find anything that would help me out soo i can check the timingbelt.
Does any1 know howto get this correct?
What tools do i need?
Please help.

What engine does this use, is it the old CX OHV engine?

That must be the old push rod engine that was fitted in 505`s. If I remember there is a very tricky way of setting them up. The only guy I know who could give you advice is Dean Hunter at www.peugeotparts.co.uk He is a Peugeot boffin, he also has a huge stock of old Peugeot parts.

If its a CX engine it only has a belt to drive the pump the rest is geared.
