I have an 06 C8 2.2 exclusive, had it 8yrs so far. I've been a reader of the forum for years but I'd like to say a big thank you to all of you for posting how to replace a starter motor on a C8. Mine gave up recently, checked battery, fuse f8 etc, all after reading your posts, I needed a new one. I couldn't wait 2 weeks for the garage to fit me in, so I did it myself. Couldn't rely on vin as she had replacement engine (learnt that from this forum) so checked that. Ordered part from GSF using engine number 4hw. Replaced it from top of engine bay as bottom hex bolt seized, wd40 penetrate sorted that. Cuts and bruises later she's running like a goodun all thanks to you peeps posting here.
