diag box

Post by moomoo »

Hello,
I have the Actia PAS XS Evolution diag box...it is the 9780.Z5 version....(Genuine...made in France?)
The disc that came with it is no longer downloading on my laptop...(Windows 10)
I was thinking about buying a new (later version) disc.....https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222850461685 ... apparently this version has no issues with windows 10.
Before I bought it I wondered if anyone knows if this is compatible with my hardware or would I need an earlier version software disc/download?
I'm trying to recode a replacement Clarion radio to my Peugeot Partner MK1.
Any info would be gratefully appreciated
Thanks

Depending on the year of the Partner, V7.58 should be fine as later versions may start reducing ability to manually code - it depends on the model., but avoid V9 as that doesn't allow manual telecoding.

I bought my last diagbox software from easydiagnostics it works ok on Win 10 64bit with a virtual machine set up.
I've done with the need for Lexia now so I sold on the kit but the software is still on the laptop, if I only knew how to get it off anyone could have it. :)

Hello givemeabreak,
It's a 2006 1.9D van...in remarkable nick for the year.... but the stereo needs replacing.
I've tried getting a code online for it but even with all the info on the radio casing they all still request a 'C7 barcode' otherwise they have to be recoded at the workshop.
I've seen one being recoded using PP2000 so I thought I might give it a try.

I've plunged for ordering the later version of software (7.58)
As for the software stored on your laptop you could download it to a memory stick....that way you'd always have a back up ...I wish I had!!!! :-D
Because you never know!

I'm not sure these can. The systems are generally VIN coded to the vehicle which is no problem. But if you have an older system that uses an actual radio code that you have to enter if it has been disconnected form the battery, then I don't think Peugeot Planet 2000 can fix your issue.

Pop your VIN up (automasked on post submission) so I can see which system you have.

Ok, so this is the unit with the cassette in. As far as I can see this just needs VIN coding to the car and possibly configuring to your specific vehicle, but there should be no other code as far as I can see.

One of these:

Hello again,
I've ordered a used one with cd player....
I'm assuiming it will already be coded to the car it came from
I'm hoping to 'overwrite' it.
Is there a step by step 'how to' guide that you know of.
Ive seen a video on youtube but dont know if its the same radio...they were using pp200 though.

PP2000 is for older Peugeot vehicles (about 2007 and earlier), later than this Diagbox is used. If it is just a matter of VIN coding it, then you should be able to do this with either (note that PP2000 is included with the Diagox software and will automatically launch that programme if it detects the older vehicle).

Hello again friends,
I'v downloaded the software (supposedly version 7.83 but in actual fact it's showing as version 7.02) from the disc onto my old laptop that is running Vista 32 bit.
It seems to have downloaded successfully.
However.....
When I launch the app it asks for the make and model of the car... i tick peugeot ........partner.
Then it shows options diagbox and pp2000
For some reason it wont let me use the Diagbox option but instead keeps refering to PP2000
It then asks for DAM....I dont know what DAM is ...is it a number or letters or a combination?....i thought it would ask for a VIN number?
Then it asks for Authentication...user and password....I've tried checking the green 'tick'...and red 'cross' but it insists on filling the fields
I can't seem to get any further.
Obviously I'm doing something wrong :( :( :(
Can anyone put me straight?
Thanks

You have an earlier vehicle, so when you launch Diagbox it provides you with either 'Scantool' or PP2000. You must select PP2000.

You must select your vehicle correctly (yours is a PARTNER VU (M59) SHORT VAN) and the DAM number is the build number which in your case is: 10690.

When you launch the system it may ask for a log in or authentication, click the red cross - never allow it to check for updates and never have an active internet connection on that it can use whilst you are using diagbox or it may deactivate.

If you followed the installation, you should of copied your activation key somewhere safe in case this happens.

As for the updrade - forget V7.83, that far higher than you need for a 2006 vehicle, so leave it at 7.02, or upgrade it to 7.58 and stop there.
