Fuel filter change 2.2HDI

Unread post by Loopebg96 »

Hey guys,

I will be servicing my C5 X7(2.2HDI 204ps) this weekend and everything is clear until the fuel filter change.

Is there any special procedure of bleeding the fuel filter that I should follow, or just to prime it with the priming bulb?

Cheers! :)

You are probably locked out because your donation was over two years ago and hence the 2 year period it covers has expired, so you will need to donate again to gain access :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

.I am a donor "2022" - I should actually still have access then.
Question:
Where can I find out when the 2 years are up and I can make a new donation?

Hi chaps, the upgraded memberships last up to 2 calendar years, so the earlier in a new year you upgrade your membership, the longer you get. E.G. if you upgraded in January 2024, you would have access for the remainder of 2024 and all of 2025 (so 24 months) , but if you upgraded in November 2024 you would only have 14 months.

Donation link is either via the donations link under the Forum Banner to the left, or use the parts donation links here:

I've looked into the guide, i know it says it can't be used to change on the DW12BTED4. It looks identical to my engine, what exactly do i need to change in the procedure, can you help me?
Also do you happen to know where i can buy that bleed tool? Can't find it anywhere

@ zeantonio
There are some differences in the tools used, pop your VIN up and if I get time this morning I'll write up the specific guide for your vehicle to avoid any confusion.

Vin is VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. Thank you so much, there aren't many videos online from people working on this engine and the ones that i ve seen are scaring me because they dont seem to know what they're doing

Most of the tools are dealer tools that they purchase in sets - but you can purchase the plug kits and probably other universal tools for bleeding / priming like these:
