UAB Elastomer.EU Citroen Strut Tops and HDi MOT Failure

All,

I am considering ordering refurbed units for the HDi today from UAB Elastomer in Lithuania. Their prices have gone up quite considerably so the early posts on this forum. With all the additions for advance purchase of stocked items and customs declaration charges.

We're looking at £314 approx for a pair all told. plus approx. £31 import VAT no doubt.

With the other bits that failed the MOT, I doubt I will be getting any change out of £500.

Two front tyres, front discs and pads, two front return pipes from struts, both windscreen wipers and an inner CV boot.

A mate of mine who hates Citroens said I should scrap it and he might be right. Is it better to get £200-£300 and save £500 on top than spend another £500 on what is a diminishing return?

With cracked windscreen and whiny turbo, I doubt I could get £1000 for it on the open market with a full 12 months MOT on it despite second hand vehicles prices having shot through the roof.

Is there are need on here from anyone for any parts off the car if I chose to go that way?
