Hi,
I'm 6ft and my wife is 5ft, so swapping over driver in our 2016 Traveler Allure is quite a kerfuffle, especially with the slow electric seats.
I'm an electronics engineer and would like to convert the electric seats to memory seats. Ideally I'd like to piggyback onto the CAN bus to do it if that's possible, failing that I could make some positional feedback units and essentially short out the seat control buttons to get it to move.
Either way, it would be really useful to have a wiring diagram to figure out how the seats connect into the rest of the system. Ideally one of the whole vehicle (or a similar aged vehicle) or just of the seats if not.
Any help would be very gratefully appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Re: PSA CAN bus/electric seat wiring diagram for memory dear hacking needed
I doubt it is possible using the bespoke system, as only some vehicles had the memory seats and this was not one of them from what I can see. PSA vehicles with memory controlled seats have additional ECUs specific to the electronic architecture that interface with the door control unit and the other ECUs in the seat including the BSI etc.
These systems generally also controlled the wing mirror position memorisation and the heating temperature settings - so was not just a seat control - and as they are not an option on your vehicle, the wiring and control units are not available, sorry.

Re: PSA CAN bus/electric seat wiring diagram for memory dear hacking needed
Hi Marc,
Thanks for the reply, I'm not looking to install OEM memory seat components, rather create the hardware and write the software myself. I'm trying to work out at what layer I will have to intervene with the system and how. Looking at some diagrams I've seen on this forum for another, albeit older, vehicle, the motors may have a pulsed feedback signal, which I could count to log absolute position, then either give commands over CAN or on the physical button circuit to make the seat move accordingly.

I really can't help you with that as this info is not available. All I know is what I had on my C5 X7 with electric Memory seats and how all the parts needed to talk together to work. But as your system doesn't have the option, there is no wiring diagram for it, and I wouldn't have one for this model anyway as it's too new.

Hi Marc,
Yes, I'm running into the problem that it's too new to have much info out there. Thanks for your help anyway though.
For others reading this, just to clarify, I'm not looking for the memory seat wiring diagrams, but the electric seat wiring diagrams (that show how my vehicle is currently wired)

I might be able to get the pulse/direction data over CAN too, which could simplify things.

Just watch what. or how you connect to the CAN as the electronic architecture can differ from vehicle to vehicle (different data networks and speeds) as we've seen issues with non OEM connected equipment in the past. Best of luck and watch your warranty if it is still covered, as anything like what you are attempting will void it.

Thanks.
I don't want to connect to it until I know exactly what's going on on what bits and at what speed. Though I'm struggling to find a CAN topology drawing for this van. To begin with I guess I'll scope lines, then sniff packets and take it from there.

Hi Daedalus - did you get anywhere with this? Just trying to find out the pin out for the seat connector. My need is more basic: I'd like to fit heated seat pads plus stop the middle seat belt unplugged alarm going off when someone shifts their weight in the (now) single passenger seat that replaced the bench seat.... any advice welcome - bit nervous because of pre-tensioners and airbags etc.
