I have a very early Xantia 1.9 TD and I have never managed to get the diagnostic reader to work with it. I have a Lexia 3 running through a virtual PC on my old laptop. It works fully with my C5 X7.
The problem is the same as other members have encountered over the years - the OBD2 to PSA 30pin adapter is not correct for the Xantia.
I have two adapters, one I had and a second one RichardW lent me. These seem to be identical. I've buzzed out all the pins, compared with the various threads on here and compared to a pinout on an adapter I saw on AliExpress which was different.
Basically there are 16 pins visible on the Xantia.
of which only 9 actually meet a pin in the adapter plug and without getting too bogged down with description, most don't match the corresponding diagrams I found through the archives here.
I actually think these apply to later cars than mine but not sure..
I've now got a clue as to what pins are needed for any adapter plug to work with the Xantia but the one blank I have is what the actual pin assignments on the car actually are. You can see in the photo that the car for example uses pins in row A, pins 1,2 & 3 and the same in row B. And the adapter I have doesnt have a pin at A2 or any in row B. A2 might be the switched 12v although not confirmed.
So! does anyone have access to a Citroen document that actually tells you the pin outs from the car's plug?
