Peugeot 307 CC Electrical boot/trunk problem

Unread post by RichiB »

I have several problems with my new bought project car peugeot 307CC 2004 but for now i want to fix this one.
The problem is that the trunk/boot dose not open with the button on the key or with the push button on the boot, and also not with Autocom computer.
I have searched for power ( 12V ) in the boot but cant find any beside in the 12V outlet. I have searched with a multimeter on the cables from the lock and from the push button and from the light but there is nothing :-(
I have also searched for a separate fuse for the boot but i cant find any :-(
I have striped down the boot to look for broken cables but i cant find any .

Please help me someone so i can go on to the next problem that is fixing the power windows and roof that does not work :-(

There is a YouTube video on: Peugeot 207cc boot wont open ... that shows a method of getting the boot open but it involves cutting an opening in the boot lining. And avoiding destroying the bar for the blind. Pretty desperate really.
I also note that Peugeot forums had a similar entry: 307cc Boot stuck shut!
"Solution!
There is a flappy plastic part behind the rear seat head rests.
I used 2 small screwdriver handles to wedge it up in the middle and stay there. Now i can see the boot lock using a good flashlight.

There is a small hole on the left side of the lock box to release the mechanism.
I made a 1.3 m long small screwdriver using a threaded bar m10 that i grinded to about 3 mm diameter in the end. Put it in the hole and press to the left and the boot popped up! :) No damage to the car."

Boot opening button in the 0 of the 307 badge

Just had the Same! Keys locked in the boot. But found by chance there is a boot opening button in the 0 of the 307 on the boot!!!
Press this and the boot will open!

The 307 hatch had a very poorly designed wiring loom to the boot that was prone to breaking the wires leading to the boot lid. I don't know if this poor bit of design carried over to the CC but it would be worth checking the loom where it flexes near the boot once you have the boot lid open.

I had a quick look at our 308CC which shares the same roof/boot architecture with the 307CC, and there is nothing that looks like a physical emergency release.

Does your diagnostic tool allow you to read live data perform actuator tests on the locking and roof systems? If you can get the roof to start opening, then that will get you into the boot.

Do the windows work at all? If the battery has been disconnected, the roof will not work until the window anti-pinch has been recalibrated by winding the windows all the way down then all the way up.

Thanks for info but the problem is not how to get in to the boot, i have managed that with a fishing rod ;-) The problem is how to fix it..... i want it to work like it should :-) Where exactly can the cables be broken? i think i have looked everywhere but cant find any broken cables. but i have only looked for broken cables in the trunk... maybe i should search further in the car/doors?

Boot dont open.... windows dont go down, roof dont move.... but when i do other tests with the computer they do work fine....

You have to tell us how you managed to open the boot with a fishing rod!

The only time I have had roof problems with my 207CC was when the micro switch in the boot failed to work. I had to reposition it and secure it with a cable tie so that the curtain rod made better contact. But at least I got an error message on my centre screen to the effect that there was a problem.

My boot is shut and will not open with the key or zero button ... interested in knowing how the fishing rod method works please.
Thank you.
