Allright guys,
After doing a ton of work on my 2008 308 1.6 HDi i've got a problem regarding the turbo's vnt, It don't work..
I've fitted two, recon turbos due to a faulty pressure sensor, the bugga located above the driveshaft that's a 'challenge' to replace.
With the old, original valve fitted, start car and the vnt's actuator arm moved fully downwards, ok, with the new (afternarket) valve fitted, initially the arm did the same, now It doesn't..
Any idea as to what has happened? Car only goes at higher speeds, down low it's slow as hell, obviously.
Possibile that the valve Is already faulty? RIDEX component bought new of AutoDoc a month ago.
Before changing the pressure sensor valve i had fault codes logged for overboost and underboost too, now there are no codes logged but the Bloody actuator arm won't move.
Strange problem with vnt..

Possibly cheap parts. Stick to an original part or a decent branded part and I wouldn't touch Autodoc.

Re: Strange problem with vnt..
I don't fancy taking off that bloody sensor, again..
One thing i noticed Is that when i disconnect the vnt's vacuum line from the vnt Wastegate actuator to pressure sensor nipple on sensor, if i connect a mityvac and suck through the pipe, air can be heard hissing out of the small air filter located on top of the engine, next to the diesel priming bulb.
No vacuum present, as if the sensor Is jammed open?
Is this normal?

Re: Strange problem with vnt..
Just a Quick update here,
Fitted a new, original Pierburg boost valve, nothing, same as before..
There's no vacuum created as soon as the engine starts so the vnt arm doesn't move, or It initially move a small amount but then stops.
Checked for any leaks along the various vacuum Lines/Rubber elbows nothing, all in good shape.
Turbo Is a month old recin unit, actuator arm moves freely, vnt 'wastegate' capsule Is fine, holds vacuum no problem.
Brake servo One way valve works fine, vacuum pipes are all clear.
I 'effin we'll stumped here, what the hell Is wrong with this Bloody car?
The most annoying thing iscrhat the original factory fitted, orange Pierburg valve works, vacuum pull down at initial start but kept throwing boost too High dtc and breaking two turbos too..
Any help appeiciated here guys.
Cheers.

With 30% of UK reviews giving 1 star, plus the number of people I know of who have nothing good to say, personally, I wouldn't buy anything from them - especially if you need a return or refund... Lots of parts are supplied not working. I always ignore the 5 star reviews and always check out the 1 star reviews first, as these tend to be genuine experiences where customers have had issues.
