Hey guys, long time lurker here. After refueling a few days ago I got the general check engine light on the screen of my 308 T9. It was diagnosed as a faulty additive pump and basically no garage wants to touch it since pairing a new one is a dealer only job, in their words. Dealer quote exceeds a 1000 euros which I find insane. By some googling I found this thread and the video in it viewtopic.php?t=65736
What I would like to know is can the thing from the video (pairing of the new pump) be done with diagbox 9 and a full chip lexia or do I have to hunt down someone with the same diagnostic tool as in the video? I have no problem with paying for a token.
What year is your car? Cloned versions of DB 9 may prevent you from doing this even with a token. This sort of operation is quite risky and not guaranteed to work as you can see above.
There have been members here who have had similar issues using a clone with additive / pump related issues and had to take it to a dealer to resolve.
You could also try buying the pump yourself and pay the dealer to fit and code or just code it.

That may prove difficult - those Snap on Modis Edge units are a little under £2000 to buy and then there are the subscriptions to the software... Trying to find somebody with that unit may prove a challenge.
The dealer will also have the experience of doing this on the specific vehicle engine so that's what you're paying for too.
For a 2014 vehicle though, you should be able to use Diagbox 7.58 as that was available from from 14/11/2014. Version 7.62 came out in 3/01/2015, so should also be fine.

That's separate - and because you can't code a NAC unit with V7 - it needs connected dealer server access. That's a completely different issue with telematics. As far as the Additive system goes it should not be an issue.
