Morning all.
I have a Peugeot 5008 1.6 Hdi (DV6 engine)
I have and oil leak to the rear of the engine and judging by what it's covering, it's fairly high up on the engine.
I've changed the rocker cover gasket and despite not being able to find where two of the left over bolts go, this hasn't fixed it. The area is dry and the old one hadn't been leaking, it was just a cheap sensible place to start.
A garage has taken a look and said it isn't coming from the crankcase but they can't see it.
It's very hard to see down the back of the engine in this particular vehicle as you will know.
I've had the leak about a year, it doesn't lose much or appear to be getting any worse but it is frustrating.
Is there anywhere anyone can recommend to look from their own experience or is it engine out? Seems extreme for an oil leak.
Advice appreciated.

Re: Difficult to find Oil Leak
One trick I have used in the past is to park the car on ramps over a large, the bigger the better, mirror. Then using a powerful beam torch from above shine it down the back and the mirror will reflect it up lighting from below areas which you cannot see from above. You are looking for the glistening trail of the oil seepage. Good luck
