Saxo steering coloumn
Hi, my saxo steering is moving up and down and has a slight play in it. Its play in the steering coloumn shaft where the steering attaches. No play at the steering coloumn joints. Any idea if you can still buy a new one? Because i can only find used.

Re: Saxo steering coloumn
Check the tightness of the column to steering rack pinch bolt.

Re: Saxo steering coloumn
Its tight, the movement is at the part where the steering attaches. Is there a bushing inside the coloumn shaft that i can replace? Because i cannot find any diagrams on how the part is inside

Not looking good im afraid every variation i checked is showing no longer available from the factory.
Citroen never listed the bearing separately. If you can remove the bearing you may be able to identify it.

Normally yes, either a bearing or a bush.

Re: Saxo steering coloumn
It's certainly not a common fault on the Saxo so i would imagine you would be ok with a used column.Jonathancilia wrote: 24 Feb 2022, 07:55 Any idea if you can still buy a new one? Because i can only find used.

Re: Saxo steering coloumn
Went outside and quickly removed airbag and steering wheel, there seems to be a rubber like bushing on the coloumn shaft. I think i will opt with a used coloumn like you say seems easiest fix for me.
