My maintenance fleet C4 went in for its recall work today and the report is here
Anyone know exactly what the crank pinion is referring to?

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Re: C4 Picasso Recall
It's very possible they have replaced the timing kit and a few other bits Mick. May be worth confirming if that is the case, as it would save quite a few £s if the timing kit, pulleys and all have been replaced.
Item 71 is the CRANKSHAFT COTTER PIN, so that may well be the pin being referred to.

Re: C4 Picasso Recall
Right so its what I'd call the crankshaft pulley!!
It does say motor kit on there too so it is possible they used the standard timing belt service kit. I will give them a call tomorrow and check.
However they also voluntarily carried out their "health check" which resulted in work required amounting to £1922.27 !!
That included £159.00 for rear brake pads which are 70% worn, £199.00 for front pads which are 60% worn, £251.99 for worn alternator belt, £324.00 to investigate engine oil leak, £162,00 for overdue service, £171.25 to replace rear side light (new one from the bay already in my car for £22), £405 Eolys fluid top up.(being done by BL on Tuesday for £170 including fluid!)
Why oh why do we keep putting up with this???

Looking at your next service and MOT dates on your invoice I can see why!
