Hi,
I'm now thinking to convert my 2008 GP to a simple camping tool, one of things I'm thinking to do is to install solar panel. I've found one candidate from amazon, which is 95x57cm flexible one, 100W. I think I can mount three to get 300W, that will cover almost all the roof area.
There is one Anttenna on the roof, I'm wondering if I can remove it totally? My GP is with GPS navigation system, is this anttenna also for the GPS system as well? or is it only for FM radio?
Thank you very much in advance for clarify my questions.

The antenna will be for FM, GPS and GSM for emergency calling in an accident triggered by airbag activation by the independent telematic unit if fitted. So be prepared to lose this functionality and don't forget to tell your insurance company of your modifications or you could find your cover withdrawn otherwise.

Indeed my GP has GSM emergency function although I never have chance to use it. I don't want to lose it, so I will not touch this antenna then, instead, I will only install two panels.
Thank you indeed for this valuable answer!
