Hi would a P1351 pending code stop my Citroen C4 grand Picasso 1.6 HDI 2007 from actually starting it cranks over okay it does not start I thought there was a fault with the injectors
But on OBD two it’s come up with this code ignition coil control circuit high voltage
ITM input circuit malfunction/ignition coil control circuit high voltage SID 803/EDC16C3/pre-post heated relay circuit. Really not controlled and glow plugs supplied
My understanding is the glow plugs would only come on in very cold weather and shouldn’t really stop the car from starting if this is right any help would be appreciated thank you

Re: P1351 code help
P1351 is almost always present and will not inhibit starting. You'd need to get some live data from the ECU whilst cranking to see what is missing and preventing starting.

Re: P1351 code help
Hi thanks for your reply I have had some data I can see the fuel pressure goes up to over 5000 and I can see the rev counter goes at about 300rpm so I’m assuming things like cam sensor crank sensor are okay and the fuel pressure seems good just don’t understand why it just doesn’t start
Re: P1351 code help
Goes up to 5000 what? what every it is it needs to be equivalent to at least 120 bar. The rev counter is not really a good indicator that the crank sensor is working.
You need to look at engine RPM on live data and also see that cam/crank synchronisation are at YES. These are the 3 main basic things this engine needs to start.
Do you have any more info about the fault? did it cut out whilst driving or just all of a sudden not start one day after working normally the last time it ran.
Does it have enough fuel in it and is it the correct fuel?
Might be worth giving it a sniff of easy start to see if it fires on that.
