Hai,
I have a problem with the front suspension of my C5 X7 berline.
Because of a leakage of my front left suspension i chance this one.
the problem is now, that the suspension it self, behave different, the leftside is much stiffer then right.
the one i used is from a C5 Tourer with CSS system.
My own car has also a CSS system.
Some people say's that ther is no differents between the suspension legs, but now i doubt on this advice.
i wil put the vin nummers here, and hope, that someone can help me.
The vin of mine car is: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff].
The vin of the Tourer is: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff].
I hope, if there is someone who can help me with this.
Greetings,
Kees.

Re: front suspenion problem
The difference was your 3.0 V6 is petrol and the other vehicle was a 3.0 V6 Diesel that had different strut numbers.
Having said that, as they no longer make the X7, they have consolidated front strut parts now, so that the replacement struts have only one part number for the front left and one part number for the front right for all hydraulic C5 X7s. That may be why there is a difference, but also consider the spheres which may be due for replacing.

Thanks, for youre reply Marc.
I think, the best way is to look for an second one, or a dammaged car.

Kees.

Re: front suspenion problem
Kees - you have to ignore the electronic part and just use the strut. The AMVAR function from the C6 was never incorporated into the X7. The harnesses are not there, neither is the software contained in the suspension computer for this function, so won't work. Just ignore the socket and cover it up.
