Service Warning Light

I have a Citroen Nemo Multispace 2012 Automatic and today when driving the Service light came on and stayed on and then a message appeared and then disappeared saying check running lights. Can someone tell me if this is serious or whether I can keep driving until I get the car MOTed which I have scheduled to be on 17/01/22. I bought the car in January 2021 and thought maybe the service light might have come on because it is due another service now but also thought this might not be the case. Can anything offer any thoughts on this please. Thanks

Well the message is telling you what the issue is - the Daytime Running Lights.

Have you started the vehicle, engine running and been outside to check if either or both DRLs are working or not? If one or both lamps aren't, then that's what the message is for. Depending on your vehicle specifications and build date DRL may or may not be fitted, but sometimes these are referred to as the sidelamps, so check those too.
