Hi again to everyone,
I think I've found another issue on my new (used) C1 that I was wondering if I could get some help on.
I've been out on a drive today and I went to plug in my phone into the USB socket and nothing happened. No charging or anything. I know the car supports mirror screen and was looking to use that (Android auto) but like I say, nothing happens.
When I got home I tried changing my USB wire and still got nothing. I then tried 4 different USB sticks and nothing happened with them. 3 of the sticks have lights on them when they have power but nothing was happening.
Is there a fuse for the USB port I could change myself or could there be something else wrong? The car is under a 2 year used warranty as I got it from a main dealer.
Thanks for any help and advice.

Pop your VIN up so I can see what system you have.

Erm
It's a 2015 Citroen c1 VTi 68 Feel 3 door.
I've attached a picture of the screen thing. Hopefully that'll help? I don't have the paper work to hand.
Thanks.

You can find the VIN on the V5 logbook and also at the edge of the windscreen (looking from the outside in, low down on the right in a small 'window' in the black border). It may begin with a V, F, 7 (and is 15 digits long).

I don't mean to be difficult but I thought a vin number shouldn't be shared? I'm a bit worried about putting that on an open forum? Isn't there another way to tell you about the system in it?

Re: 2015 C1 USB Port not working
Trouble is these are not really Citroens at all - it is a Toyota Aygo, and the same with the Peugeot 106 and I think these use their own bespoke head units (to which the USB will be connected to). So my advice to you is don't bother investigating it - get it back to the dealer and let them sort it out for you as you have the warranty.
Don't bother with the VIN now - I've seen what I needed from your pictures. But for future reference, the VIN is on public display on your vehicle windscreen so it's not an issue, but we do mask them here so only staff can see.

Thanks for your help I really wasn't trying to be difficult. I didn't know the vin was easily visible on the car. It's only my second car and I thought it was in the paper work and only on the actual chassis of the car. I was just out looking for it in the window when you replied.GiveMeABreak wrote: 29 Dec 2021, 20:27

I'm really not a car person and know very little about them and I'll keep that in mind for the future. But I really appreciate your help.
Sorry if I wasn't supposed to add a picture.

You can post up (using the full editor/attachments system) photographs of almost everything to do with a vehicle EXCEPT for the VIN, as the aforementioned security software will not be able to recognise and protect it.
Do not worry about not knowing much about cars. The reason this Forum was created was mainly to help French car owners keep them on the road, although there are a lot of other subjects on this Forum (mostly in the Off Topic Chat Lounge), so feel free to join in on anything that interests you.

That was my fault - sorry - there were some cross-over posts for a it and I think I ended up editing your post instead of quoting it and deleted your pictures by accident!
Post as many pics as you like. The dealer should be able to sort it for you - you did the right thing by getting an extended warranty. If the USB cable has not come out of the back of the Head Unit, they may end up replacing the Head Unit for a new one. But I'd advise against taking anything apart - as this is why you have the warranty. Do let me know how you get on with it.
