Where to buy spheres?

Unread post by lucasR »

Hi guys,
I'm about to pick up a 2001 C5 Break 2.0 petrol with the Hydractive 3+ that will need to have almost all the spheres and probably a strut replaced, but living in Brazil makes things quite complicated when it comes to find parts to this suspension once these cars are rare sights here, but going through the forum i've noticed that it isn't that difficult to get them in europe, so I would really appreciate if you guys could give me some tips of where i can find them cuz eBay is not providing me with much hahah.

Thanks y'all and excuse my english

While I cannot offer any advice on the struts, you might want to drop AEP Direct a line. I do not know if they ship to South America, but an email costs nothing.

Oh, and :welc: to the forum, and your English is a lot better than my (non-existent) Spanish!

The MK I and MK II front struts are no longer available from Citroen and only the rear left is available now. Spheres are still available from various suppliers if you 'Google them', it's the shipping that will cost I suspect.

Thanks for the help! I've already shot them an email and they were quite quick to respond it:

"Hi there.
We are unable to deliver to Brazil but we are more than happy to organise parts for collection if you are able to find a courier that collect from us for a reasonable price."

Does anyone has a tip on a company that sends packages abroad?

Also, thanks for the welcome!

Try talking to colisexpat.com.
They specialise in getting PSA's Mister Auto's products to anywhere in the world, and look as if they would cover other suppliers as well.
Let us know how you get on.

I'm aware of it, I even found a shop here that can refurbish them but I just asked in case there was a supplier I wasn't aware of cuz would prefer buy them new. The shipping is really a problem, the cost of the few parts I found on ebay more than doubled the price of the part it self!
Also, do you have any experience with the eurorepar spheres?

Thanks for the help!

Eurorepar are owned by PSA / Stallantis, so should be fine.

LucasR ask UPS, FedEx, DHL, DPD... I can't believe they would not collect part and ship it in Brasil...

Thanks a lot for the tip! I did a simulation and the shipping price is 1/3 of the ones on ebay, the delivery is faster too. I'm gonna talk to them to see if its possible, it would be the perfect solution. I'll keep you guys updated.
