wobble!

My zx1.9td seems to have developed a wobble when you get over 40ish as well as this the tyres have worn far more on the inside of the wheel than the outside. Are the two connected? It's second hand and I didn't give it nearly as good a check over as I shoud have!
The wobble seems to make the car feel like it could vere/lose control- that's what it seems like or am I being paranoid?
