ACTIVA REAR CYLINDER BEARINGS

Post by surfer »

Hi,
Has anybody replaced the lower bearing from the rear Activa cylinder without removing the cylinder from the car?
I don't want to have to disconnect the hoses from/to the cylinder.
From looking at the schematic in that Citroen technical manual, there ought to be no pressure in the cylinder if the main hydraulic circuit is de-pressurised and both front and rear Activa spheres are removed.
I think you would then be able to remove the M12 bolt from the lower fixing and press out the old bush then in with the new.
Anybody else know any better?
Thanks,
Simon.
